I started a gmail (google) email account on a whim, not really intending to keep it, but now I have no idea how to get rid of it!!!! And the worst thing is, my parent don't know I have it, and they will be MAD to see that I have downloaded something without asking them. ****HELP!!!****

First of all dont panic. Secondly you didnt download anything, you just made an email. Thats not downloading.Finally, if you don't log in to Gmail within three months of it being labeled dormant -- or for nine consecutive months -- Google may delete the account.

Reply:Just don't log onto it anymore. I don't think you should have had to download anything for a gmail account that is a web based service.
Reply:Okay, First your email. Go to account settings or "your account managment" and look for a botten that says cancel account. If you don't find it, go to the help area on google.
If it's the program you don't want: Click start on your toolbar then click control pannel. When that opens go to -add or remove programs-. When THAT opens, look for the google program then click on it and select -Remove-
