Can a personal GMAIL account be Hacked?

My gmail was hacked for info, is this possable? How do I prevent it?

Anything on the world wide web can be hacked and its not that tough either. It all depends not only on the security tightening measures taken by the company providing the application but also on the knowledge of the end user.





A simple case can be, when someone sends you a link which looks way similar to the gmail page but is nothin but a bait and you fall for it. The end user then has your user id and password.This is called Phishing or Spoofing.

Reply:any email exposed to internet can be hacked...I suggest you not to provide any personal info (SSN,CC details) or anything in any email..
