How do I create a desktop icon that will launch my browser and open a specific Gmail account (I have several)?

I know how to create a desktop icon that takes me straight to Gmail. What I don't know is if there's a way to configure it so it loads a specific account.
How do I create a desktop icon that will launch my browser and open a specific Gmail account (I have several)?
Just log into your account, and click on the button that says stay logged in for 2 weeks until you log out. Then when you've finished checking your e-mail, just exit the browser and don't log out.

Hope this helps :D
Reply:go under "Tools" in your tool bar at the top of your page and click on "internet options". It should have a blank space where it says home page: and you can type in a URL address so that it takes you there everytime you open up the browser. Then all you have to do is to click save password on your gmail account and you'll be set!

(this wont make a shortcut on your desktop but it basically does the same thing :)
Reply:These answers are all good, you can also try dragging the little icon to the left of the URL in the address field of your internet browser. Just click on the "restore" window situated between the "-" and the "x" top-right corner and then drag it to your desktop.
Reply:I use Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird... to manage my gmail account. Works flawless
Reply:make the target of your shortcut this:

http://mail.google.com/mail/?account_id=...

replacing youremail with your email account.
Reply:Select the page you want as your homepage and make a shortcut of your browser.
