I want to send an exe file to a gmail account, Gmail blocks the exes.
How can I send an exe file to gmail account.?
You can zip the *.exe file and put a password on it. Gmail won't be able to scan the encrypted zip file.
Reply:I have tried using zip and gmail still scans the file. Then I tried to encrypt the file and somehow gmail was still able to scan it. Report Abuse
Reply:Well. It might think that you are sending a virus file. If you know your recipient (you have to), you can send him/her the file by changing the extension, and ask him/her to change it back after download. Maybe it might work.
Reply:Email providers, and also most messaging services block executable files from being sent, due to the fact that they regard them as possibly mallware (viruses, trojans, worms, etc)
But to send your file you can use a compressing software such as WinZip or WinRar.
This will compress the .exe file into a .rar file, and you can safely attach it to a mail. All the recipient has to do is unzip the file when recieved.
Here's a link to a trial version of WinRar:

Reply:Zip it or Rar it first.....
Reply:try to zip it first.
Reply:change the file tag to something acceptable, and let the person you are sending to know this so they can change it back.
