Does having a gmail account take up space on my computer?

i want to have a gmail account, but i dont want my computer to run any slower than it already does.
Does having a gmail account take up space on my computer?
None at all. If you are so concerned it will take you just a couple of minutes to create your gmail account through any other computer.
Reply:no, it doesn't take any space! It's accessed through web, it means that the only capacity taken on your computer depends on the BROWSER (ie: MS Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox).





You can limit the cache of the browser through the settings, and anyway the performance of the pc is not related to the type of web mail account you create: gmail, yahoo mail, hotmail... it's all the same.
Reply:No, it's accessed through a web interface. It won't slow your computer down, just like browsing Yahoo Answers wont...At least I hope not
