How do you set up a gmail account on outlook?

I went exactly step by step with this guide: http://email.about.com/od/outlooktips/ss...

I am having problems when I run the test though. There are errors on "Log onto incoming mail server (POP3)" and "send test email message"

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.
