Is the password still the same? Or did the guy change it? If he didn't change it...you need to change your password, pronto! Change your security question as well...to something NO ONE would ever know about you.

Then...sign back into your gmail account and go to the very bottom of the screen. It will have something in small letters that says "Last account activity at..." click on that and it will tell you all the IP addresses that all the account activity is at.

Definitely notify the police about this.
Reply:Hi there,

The first thing is to not panic and think logically. This has happened to me before too. When you think about it, it doesn't take much to know a bit about you - just enough to scare you.

All that person needs to do is hack into your email account, i.e by embedding spyware on your PC by sending you an unexpected file or something or he may have guessed your password or something. There are several ways...but basically all he has to do is hack in.

Once he has hacked in, it doesn't take long for him to read a few of your emails, e.g. some from you to others and some from others to you before he knows a lot about you.

For example, one of my ex-girlfriends hacked into my email account and found a draft wedding invitation that my then-fiance had sent to me for our wedding...of course on there it had everything, so she sent a letter to my in-laws with lies trying to break us up...she failed as all it took was some logic and trust and the matter was extinguished...don't forget, if you have attachments, this could worse, i.e. your pictures, your resume or application forms for loans etc...then he would know everything he needs to stalk you.

I strongly suggest you inform the police right away!!! They will have a special electronic crimes department that can help you.

Good luck!

Kevin from Australia.
