What is a good e-mail account for a business startup a yahoo or a gmail account?

I see a lot of startup e-mail accounts using either a @yahoo.com or a @gmail.com. In your opinion, what's better for a startup business? Thank you in advance.

Your name something mature but not something lik hardworker@yahoo.com that is trying to hard something like SaraL.Brooke@yahoo.com with you name and middle anital and last name or family members name. Or like your name and an old house address like Kara12456@yahoo.com or make up a number with 5 digits. Good luck hope that you get your job.
Reply:rofl, neither..

But if you don't want to buy a domain...

I think the yahoo email account might be more "professional." But my yankee counterparts(above) think otherwise..
Reply:Personally I would go with G-mail if you can get an account.
Reply:I like both but I think for some reason gmail account is tad more formal than yahoo....don't know why...its your call.
Reply:lol i would go with gmail for their size,
Reply:Neither. I think they both look unprofessional, you should get your own website address that reflects your business then have it hosted and run your emails through it. It looks way more professional. You don't need to have a functioning website, just use the email facilities.
Reply:Neither - You should really consider getting your own domain name and add a web hosting account. You could do all this for less than 30 bucks, and a basic web hosting account would give you several email addresses at your domain. You would not have to immediately put content on your web page - you could have it say "coming soon", but it would give you immediate professional email address.
