Or instead of deleting it in gmail, can it archive the email instead?
When I click "delete" in mail, it automatically deletes it in my gmail account. How can i stop this?
What do you expect to happen when you click "delete" in mail? It will delete the e-mail you are currently looking at and deposit it in your trash folder. If you want to save it, create a folder for saved e-mails and then "move" the e-mail to that folder
Reply:i open , read, move to appropriate folder to save/archive. then reopen from file on desktop and hit delete.
use find option in future to reopen and read.
Reply:Select the checkbox next to the email in your inbox and then click archive button at top. Simple. Check out here for more;
