Not just adding his mail address at spam, but totally blocking him.I know how this is done in Yahoo, but what about gmail?
How do I block completely a user from mailing me at my gmail account?
Unfortunately, Gmail does not offer an option to block an email id. So to get around this situation, creating filter will be the suggestion for you. Here is how you can do it:
Click on Settings on the top right hand side of your gmail account.
Click the "Filters" tab.
Click on "Create a new filter"
Type in the user's email address which you intend to block in the "From" field, and your email address in the "To" field. Click on "Next".
This will take you to a list of choices that you intend to do, ie., if you want the user's email to be archived, or sent to spam folder, or deleted etc.
You might want to choose "Delete it", so you don't see them in the active folders you use including your inbox.
Anyhow, creating a filter is helpful in the sense that a sender usually comes to know if the recipient has blocked his/her email address. In that case, the person may even reach you through another email account if he is adamant on simply bugging you. Creating a filter avoids that situation, and plus you get away with seeing or reading those emails without letting the user know about it.
Hope this answers your query.
