Gmail Account?

What are the advantages of having gmail??


Give me three reasons why a kid an age of


13 can be allowed to have gmail.
Gmail Account?
Gmail has a great spam blocker. I have never had junk mail come in to my inbox. Way better than hotmail and yahoo which get junk mail all the time. this includes protection from porno junk mail and other bad things kids shouldn't be seeing.





Gmail also gives you 2GB of memory when you register. Hotmail and yahoo don't, well not immediately; you have to use the account for a while to get the same memory gmail gives you already. great for storing large school projects or other forms of media.





Better organization. Instead of a lot of "re: subject" emails form the same person, gmail organizes it all into on message, and you can see the entire history within it, so no more searching through endless amounts of replies, it'll all be in one place. good for organization and time management.

1. now 13, buy the time you are 31, you will have crores of mails... at that point if you want to read the mail your friend, say jim send you... you can easily find all emails sent by him by typing from:jim (these codes can be found in the help, am a kid, som might be wrong)





2. they are here to stay, google. i think. no prophecies. dont mark my word. but most think google is here to stay... once you have an email its very tough to change coz you have already given your mail address to many.. they wont know when you change unless you mail them... trust me its very tedious.





so getting an email somewhere else might be harmful (yahoo, hotmail are also good.. just that gmail is different)





3. there are so many related features like google notebooks, google documents... you can vitually create a word documents, print etc... you can store all documents in thge web..





and hey, be careful... listen to your dad regarding issues relating to the net. trust me, he will be right probably... just be careful. use your intelligence and carefully evaluate things b4 doing thing on the net like what you have done now. good that you asked.

Reply:I have a Gmail account and as far as I know, there are no advantages. I think you get newsletters and updates on google and a kid of an age of 13 should be allowed to have gmail because it can help them use google, it'll give them email, so they won't tie up the phone, and last, it's a good way to find answers on Google.
