I would like to switch over to Gmail, but i went to their site and they only let you get in by invite. Is there a way around this? Somewhat of a quirky scheme in my opinion, but I know their bandwith is usually exceptional.

So many not-so perfect answers here. You can sign up for Gmail using your mobile phone or you can be invited by someone who has an account, I'll send you one if you're interested, just send me an email to conradj213@gmail.com and I'll give you an invite.

Reply:just contact the person having gmail account and tell him to invite your hotmail id to be gmail id .
or else write a letter to google and send 9.99$to sign up
